Attention Walk
Walking is a gesture we repeat without noticing. This practice brings walking to the foreground, one step at a time.
How to practice
- 1
Choose a short route, ideally outdoors.
- 2
Start slowly and feel each foot touching the ground.
- 3
Notice the air temperature and the light around you.
- 4
When your mind wanders, return to the feeling of your feet.
- 5
Finish with one slower step and a full breath.
When to use
Between commitments, after a meal, or when you need to shift your pace.
Tip
There is no need to walk far. A few meters of attention are worth more than kilometers of distraction.
