Dream Anchoring
A practice to slow down and anchor the mind in the present moment, preparing the body for deep rest.
How to practice
- 1
Lie down comfortably and close your eyes. Feel the weight of your body supported by the surface beneath you.
- 2
Bring your attention to your natural breath, without forcing it. Notice the air flowing in and out, like waves coming and going.
- 3
With each exhale, imagine releasing a little more tension from your shoulders, jaw, and hands.
- 4
Place one hand on your heart and the other on your belly. Feel the warmth of your hands and the gentle movement of your breath.
- 5
Now, visualize a firm and serene anchor within you, keeping your presence steady as your body rests.
- 6
Stay with this feeling of anchoring for a few minutes, allowing inner silence to expand.
When to use
Use at night, in bed, when you want to create a smooth transition between the day and sleep.
Tip
If your mind wanders, don't criticize yourself. Gently bring your attention back to your breath and the anchor.
